Department: Allied Health Professionals and Psychology

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Priory Hospital North London

Compensation: £26,300 / year

Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit Therapy Assistant to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5 role.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Support the delivery of therapeutic programmes and activities, encouraging patient engagement and participation in their recovery journey.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and clinicians, to implement individual care and treatment plans.
  • Assist patients with developing daily living skills, promoting independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
  • Observe, monitor, and accurately document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the clinical team.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment that upholds high standards of patient care and dignity.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a healthcare, mental health, social care, or therapeutic setting, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships with patients and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be compassionate, patient-centred, and committed to supporting individuals in their recovery and wellbeing. A flexible approach, good organisational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records are also important for success in this role.
