OF POSITION

Centerstone is seeking a dedicated Therapist with experience treating individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders. This position offers the opportunity to provide integrated, co-occurring care within our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), supporting a diverse client population with complex and evolving needs.

As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will work alongside professionals across a range of specialties to deliver high-quality, person-centered care. This role is designed to support both clinical excellence and work-life balance, with no weekend or on-call responsibilities required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop therapeutic rapport with clients – Meet with clients as scheduled to aid in development of therapeutic relationship.
• Diagnostic Assessment – Formulate a provisional diagnostic assessment based on information presented, identify need for risk assessment (to include substance use assessments).
• Concurrent Documentation – Completes documentation within 24 hours.
• Provide assessment services, individual (and possibly family) therapy to those identified with substance use issues.
• Treatment Planning – Developing, writing, implementing, evaluating and revising overall treatment goals/objectives and plans per ongoing assessment of needs and input from the individual based on their identified strengths.
• Therapeutic Interventions – Use of empirically based modalities to engage and manage their mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.
• Progress notes completed within current agency guidelines.
• Responds to supervisory request for urgent care situations and coverage for vacant caseloads. This includes telephones and face to face intervention.
• Keeps administrative supervisor informed of all potential issues that could impact the program or the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Coordination, ability to organize, and plan are critical for this role
• Responds to needs of consumers in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrates good clinical judgment in decision making regarding consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements

• A Master’s degree is required in one of the following fields: Clinical Psychology, Mental Health (MH) Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or a specialization in MH Counseling
• License-eligible in respective discipline preferred.

OR

• Applicants with a Master’s degree in a related field (outside of the disciplines listed above) must meet the following criteria:
  • Completion of at least 24 graduate-level semester hours in psychology, social work, counseling, or other behavioral health-related coursework.
  • Relevant coursework and work experience in the following areas:
    • Clinical treatment and treatment planning
    • Appraisal and assessment of mental disorders
    • Psychopathology
    • Use of the DSM for diagnostic purposes within a clinical internship or practicum in a behavioral health setting

Experience Requirements

Clinical experience is required. This may be fulfilled through clinical practicums or internships completed as part of a master’s degree program.

Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
