We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional in Batavia, ILwho demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.

What you will be doing?

  • The Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of counseling, skills training and case management services to a caseload of clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.
  • Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents. Services are offered both onsite and in the community/client home. Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met.
  • This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours
  • Provide effective individual and group counseling
  • Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
  • Provide case management services as medically necessary
  • Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
  • Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements as assigned by Director based on specific job duties
  • Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
  • Maintain client files according to agency policy
  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
  • Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies and procedures
  • Schedule and conduct treatment planning meetings as necessary
  • Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
  • Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship with agencies and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship with coworkers within AID
  • Assist clients in obtaining and maintaining public entitlements as necessary
  • Participate in agency committees as assigned
  • Participate in clinical supervision a minimum of one time per month
  • Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwilling to engage in office-based services

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

Education: Master’s degree in a human services field

License/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)



Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evening hours
  • Use of personal automobile
