One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking 1 full-time Therapist - Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP). The Therapist - OSP, as a valuable member of the Community Health Centres team will provide evidence based short-term client-centered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to individuals with mild to moderate mental health issues.
The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario’s Pension Plan and an excellent group health benefits package.
The salary range for this position is $66,881 to $83,187 per year. We do not use AI to screen resumes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree preferred, Honours Bachelor’s degree will be considered.
• Registration in good standing with College of Registered Psychotherapists, or Ontario College of Social Workers or Social Service Workers, or the College of Psychologists.
• Minimum of two years’ clinical experience providing cognitive behavioural therapy and its application to anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders.
• Experience working in a community based or outpatient mental health setting.
• Proficiency in the use of computers, knowledge of software applications and use of electronic medical records.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with an inter-professional team.
• Awareness and sensitivity to socio-economic and cultural issues.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, non-insured).
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and ability to travel to other service locations.
