Job Summary: The Therapeutic Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of outpatient infusion services within a Critical Access Hospital. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Therapeutic Technician assists with patient preparation, scheduling, inventory and supply management, equipment maintenance, documentation support, and patient monitoring activities as permitted by state regulations and hospital policy. The Therapeutic Technician does not independently assess patients, administer medications, initiate intravenous therapy, or perform duties restricted to licensed nursing staff. All patient care activities are performed under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with applicable state regulations and hospital policies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Experience:

• One (1) year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in outpatient infusion services, ambulatory care, emergency services, or patient care support preferred.
