As aTherapeutic Support Specialiston ourGroup HomeResidential team,you'llplay a key role in providing compassionate care and support toadultresidents with severe and persistent mental illness. Every day will bring meaningful opportunities to:

  • Teach:Help residents develop essential life skills like cooking and cleaning, how to cope with their symptoms, and problem solving.

Qualifications

We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following minimum qualificationsand can contribute to a supportive environment for our residents:

MinimumRequirements:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent ( no college degreerequired).

  • HeartsaversCPR CertificationMust obtain HeartsaversCPR certification within90daysof hire andmaintainit for continued employment.

  • Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure:Complete the licensure course and exam within the first 90 daysof employment. Certification must remain current per the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services (DHSS).

  • Driver’s License:Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver’s license. Must be comfortable and competent operatinga 15-passenger van within3 months of employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty.

  • Family Care Registry Clearance:Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check.

  • Training:Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employment.

  • Be available to pick up shifts with two hours' notice more times than not

  • Pick up a minimum of 24 hours of shifts each month (shifts are 4, 8, and 12 hours).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lived Experience: Personal lived experience with recovery from mental health or substance use disorders is valued in our setting.

  • Patient Care Experience:Preference for candidates with documented experience assistingpatients with activities of daily living (e.g.home health or residential experience).

  • Mental HealthExperience:Prior experience in a mental healthcare setting is highly valued.
