A bit about the role
As Therapeutic Residential Worker you'll be responsible for creating a safe and supported a loving environment for the children and young people in our care.
This role involves providing emotional and psychological support, helping children develop coping strategies, and promoting positive behaviours. You will engage in daily activities with the children, facilitating their social skills and emotional growth through a therapeutical approach. Your work will be crucial in helping the children build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
About the service
Our home offers a warm and welcoming homely environment, supporting 3-4 children in a family style setting. We specialise in helping children aged 7-18 years old who have experienced complex trauma. Our spacious and homely atmosphere allows every child to feel like they are part of the family. Children can enjoy watching TV, playing DVDs and using games consoles, creating opportunities for relaxation and socialising with friends. We focus on providing a supportive space where children can engage in their passions and build meaningful connections.
