Job Description

Therapeutic Officer

About the Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with frontline staff to
strengthen therapeutic practice, improve outcomes for children and families,
and embed evidence‑informed approaches across service delivery.

While this is not a traditional caseload‑based role, your
clinical expertise will be critical. You’ll provide guidance, consultation and
oversight, support complex decision‑making, and help build the confidence and
capability of those delivering care on the ground.

The role offers genuine flexibility—part‑time or full‑time,
with days negotiated for the right candidate, and a hybrid working arrangement.
On‑site attendance will be required at times to support teams, collaboration
and clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
clinical oversight and therapeutic guidance to frontline workers
  • Support
and upskill staff through coaching, reflective practice and consultation
  • Collaborate
with a multidisciplinary team to inform best practice and decision‑making
  • Contribute
to therapeutic frameworks, tools and practice approaches
  • Support
work with children, young people, and families, including paediatric‑informed
    practice
  • Balance
clinical rigour with a sustainable, relationship‑based pace of work

About You

You’re a seasoned clinician who enjoys mentoring others and
thinking beyond traditional service models. You value collaboration and want
your expertise to have a broader, more lasting impact.

You will bring:

  • A
    recognised clinical qualification:
    • Occupational
      Therapist
    • Psychologist
    • Speech
      Language Pathologist
    • Nurse
  • Minimum
5 years’ experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong
clinical reasoning and confidence supporting complex presentations
  • Experience
in, or a strong interest in, paediatrics (highly regarded), early
adulthood, and supporting transition to adulthood
  • Excellent
    communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A
collaborative mindset and willingness to work differently

What We Offer

  • Flexible
    employment options (part‑time or full‑time)
  • Hybrid
    work with autonomy and trust
  • A
chance to step into a different pace and blend of clinical work
  • Genuine
opportunity to build the capability of others and influence practice
  • Supportive,
multidisciplinary environment that values clinical integrity

If you’re ready to use your clinical skills in a way that’s
collaborative, purposeful and a little outside the box, we’d love to hear from
you.
