We are seeking experienced & motivated Grade 2 / Grade 3 and Grade 4 Theatre Technician’s to join our dynamic and supportive perioperative team. We offer a diverse program where our friendly and knowledgeable technician team work closely with our registered nurses to achieve best patient outcomes and high standards of care. We promote on the job training and career advancement and offer opportunities to develop skills in advanced technical specialties including Laser, Stealth and Robotics.

How you will make an impact

As a Theatre Technician within our Perioperative Department, you will:

  • Play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the safe positioning and immediate preoperative preparation of our patients

  • Assist with the positioning and connection of equipment in the Theatre while helping to ensure a sterile field is maintained

  • Be a member of a high performing team with a ‘can do’ culture focusing on providing exceptional quality care to our patients

  • Be responsible for the safe transport and movement of our patients both inside and outside of Theatre

  • Be a passionate, patient-focused Theatre Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment

What we’re Looking For:

  • Experience in the Perioperative setting as a Theatre Technician (preferred)

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Specialising Operating Theatre Technician) ( Required as minimum)

  • Victorian Working with Children Check

  • Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to take direction and prioritise work.

  • A commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care

  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation

  • Flexibility and a positive attitude

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service focus and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
