Job Description

The Front of House Coordinator oversees audience services and lobby operations for events at the DesertView Performing Arts Center (DVPAC). This role ensures welcoming, organized, and professional guest experience while coordinating front-of-house staff and volunteers during performances.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee front-of-house operations during events, including guest entry, seating, crowd flow, and overall audience experience.
• Supervise and coordinate ticket attendant and volunteer ushers, including assignments, guidance, and support during performances.
• Manage ticketing support functions including check-in, will-call, guest lists, and assist with resolving guest issues or seating concerns.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, event operations, or performing arts venues preferred
• Experience working with volunteers or in a leadership/coordination role preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Additional training in hospitality, event management, or theater operations preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage crowds and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Basic computer skills (ticketing systems, email, spreadsheets)
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules
