Summary: As a Bartender, you provide exceptional hospitality by creating a welcoming and engaging experience for every guest. You skillfully prepare and serve beverages, deliver food and beverage service at the bar and tables, and ensure guest satisfaction through attentive and professional service. You make each guest's experience your top priority.

Essential Job Functions:
- Greet guests and create a welcoming, engaging environment.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and correctly enter all orders into the POS system.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, company standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Guide guests through food and beverage menus by confidently recommending menu items, upselling food and beverages, promotions, and daily specials.
- Clear dirty dishes from bar/tables, and clean food and debris from tables, chairs, floors, and other areas.
- Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served according to quality standards and guest expectations.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy, presentation quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Continuously monitor bar/tables to ensure guest needs are met and service remains attentive throughout the dining experience.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, food runners, and support staff to ensure timely service execution.
- Engage guests in sports-related conversations.
- Prepare garnishes, stock bar products and supplies, maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensure adequate inventory levels throughout the shift.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work duties and leave the bar organized and fully stocked to set incoming Team Members up for success.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with all responsible alcohol service requirements, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.
- Accurately process guest transactions in accordance with departmental cash-handling procedures and ensure all forms of payment are correctly entered and reconciled.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, health department regulations, food safety standards, liquor control regulations, and responsible beverage service requirements.
- Support The Zone’s sports bar atmosphere by creating positive interactions that enhance the guest experience.

Required Knowledge of:
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage preparation, techniques, recipes, and presentation standards.
- Current beer, wine, spirit, and cocktail trends
- Responsible alcohol service practices and compliance with state and tribal regulations.
- Safe food handling procedures, food safety requirements, and sanitation standards.
- Spirit Mountain guest service expectations and hospitality principles that create a home-field advantage for every guest.
- Point-of-Sale systems and computer software applications.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of bartending work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Low security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
- State of Oregon Food Handler’s Certificate.
- State of Oregon Liquor Control Commission Server’s Permit
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.
Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a food service environment, with routine exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or tobacco smoke, and occasional exposure to extreme cold or heat and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Subject to high levels of noise.
- Work is subject to frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Equipment and Tools Utilized:
- Equipment utilized includes personal computer, Point-of-Sales system, reservation waitlist technology, kitchen display/ticket system, liquor dispense system, standard office equipment, box knife, and tools and equipment normally used in providing food and beverages such as coffee urns, push carts, bottle opener, muddler and stone, trays, bus tubs, utensils and serving plates, telephone, audio/video equipment, and two-way radio.
