SPRING, TX (THE WOODLANDS AREA - LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, active family is seeking a PART-TIME NANNY / HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their three children, ages 12 (boy), 6 (boy), and 4 (girl), in a long-term, live-out role beginning April 2026. This position is ideal for a confident, engaging caregiver who enjoys working with school-aged children and can bring structure, energy, and initiative into a busy household.
The schedule includes Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, averaging approximately 26 hours per week, with a guarantee of 20 hours per week. Flexibility is extremely important, as the family’s needs may shift week to week. The family would appreciate support with occasional evenings, weekends, overnights, and schedule adjustments, particularly when one parent is traveling for work. During the summer months, hours may shift to more weekday support and fewer weekend hours, as the children will attend camps.
All three children attend school Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role will primarily focus on after-school care, including homework support, engaging the children in activities, and managing afternoon and evening routines. The boys participate in sports, and the family places a strong emphasis on supporting extracurricular activities, so the nanny should be comfortable coordinating schedules, assisting with transportation, and actively participating in sports-related logistics.
The children are described as intelligent, funny, strong-willed, and expressive. The 6-year-old is passionate and experiences big emotions, and the family is seeking a nanny who can help guide him in understanding, regulating, and expressing those emotions in a healthy and constructive way. The 4-year-old is confident, strong-willed, and full of personality, described as both sweet and spirited. The ideal candidate is patient, emotionally intelligent, and confident in setting appropriate boundaries while maintaining a calm, supportive presence.
Responsibilities include childcare, homework support, preparing meals for the children and occasionally the family, running errands, assisting with children’s and family laundry, and providing light to moderate household support to maintain an organized home. Driving may be required for school pick-ups, activities, and errands, so a valid driver’s license is necessary.
The family would love a nanny who is open to occasional overnight care, including helping get the children ready for school the next morning, as well as someone who is open to traveling with the family. A passport is preferred or a willingness to obtain one.
The home is located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood in The Woodlands area, with walking trails and easy access to parks and activities. The household includes two dogs, so candidates must be comfortable around pets.
The family prefers candidates who are up to date on standard childhood vaccinations, excluding flu and COVID. They are seeking a long-term fit who is dependable, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic family environment where flexibility and initiative are highly valued. Compensation is $30+/hr gross based on experience, paid via payroll. The role offers 2-5 PTO days and 2-5 sick days. Benefits will be discussed with qualified candidates.
USD $30.00/Hr.
