Why Work at The National?

A career at The National, Autograph Collection means working at one of the most breathtaking luxury hotels in Oklahoma City. Located in the historic First National Center, this stunning hotel features 146 guest rooms, the award-winning Tellers Italian restaurant, and The Great Hall, an iconic social and event space. Employees at The National take pride in delivering refined hospitality in an awe-inspiring setting, where history meets modern elegance.

The National is hiring for a General Manager for The Vault.

You should join our team if you believe...

  • That exceptional hospitality is about creating experiences guests remember long after they leave.
  • That The Vault is more than a cocktail lounge—it is a piece of Oklahoma City history and a destination worth telling stories about.
  • That great leadership means being present, setting the standard, and supporting your team when service gets busy.
  • That a successful venue balances outstanding guest experiences with strong financial performance and operational discipline.
  • That craft cocktails, thoughtful service, and attention to detail are essential to creating an unforgettable experience.
  • That every guest should feel recognized, welcomed, and cared for, whether they are visiting for a cocktail, celebrating a special occasion, or attending a private event.
  • That protecting the history and character of The Vault is just as important as creating what comes next.

You’re a great fit for this role if you love...

  • Leading and developing a team of bartenders, servers, hosts, barbacks, and supervisors in a high-volume environment.
  • Creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional service, thoughtful hospitality, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Leading The Vault’s cocktail and beverage experience, including craft cocktails, spirits, wine, champagne, beer, and zero-proof offerings.
  • Maintaining consistent cocktail recipes, presentation, glassware, garnishes, and service standards.
  • Managing the financial performance of the venue, including revenue, labor, beverage costs, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Building schedules that support both the guest experience and the needs of the business.
  • Managing VIP reservations, table assignments, guest preferences, and exclusive experiences.
  • Coaching Curators through pre-shifts, hands-on training, ongoing feedback, and performance development.
  • Partnering with Sales & Catering to plan and execute private events, buyouts, corporate gatherings, and special experiences.
  • Creating activations such as cocktail classes, wine and spirit tastings, wine dinners, sporting events, holiday programming, and live entertainment.
  • Working closely with hotel leadership, culinary, marketing, security, and other outlets to create a connected guest experience.
  • Being visible on the floor, greeting guests, supporting your team, and jumping into service when needed.
  • Turning guest feedback and online reviews into opportunities to improve the experience.
  • Protecting and sharing the history of The Vault and the original 1931 First National Center vault.
  • Creating an atmosphere where lighting, music, temperature, presentation, and service all work together to tell the story of The Vault.
  • Finding the little details that make a guest feel like a regular—even on their first visit.

We’re excited to have you join us because...

  • You understand that being a General Manager means owning both the guest experience and the business behind it.
  • You have a strong background in craft cocktails, spirits, beverage operations, and hospitality.
  • You know how to balance creativity with financial responsibility, operational standards, and consistency.
  • You are comfortable leading a team through busy nights, late hours, special events, and unexpected challenges.
  • You can coach and develop Curators while creating accountability, trust, and pride in their work.
  • You are confident managing VIP guests, private events, difficult situations, and high-profile experiences with professionalism and care.
  • You understand the importance of responsible alcohol service, safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • You are comfortable using financial, reservation, scheduling, inventory, and POS systems to make informed operational decisions.
  • You bring energy, organization, confidence, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • You believe leadership means being on the floor, showing up for your team, and setting the example.
  • You are excited to help make The Vault one of Oklahoma City’s most memorable hospitality experiences.
