Job Description



The Senior Accountant (Budget) will lead the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and deliver actionable insights to support company strategic objectives. This role is responsible for preparing and managing budgets, conducting variance analysis, developing financial models, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting for executive management.
Key Responsibilities
      • Prepare, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
      • Work closely with project managers and departments to align budgets with operational requirements.
      • Develop detailed financial reports, including cost summaries, variance analysis, and cost projections.
      • Track and manage fixed and variable costs to ensure adherence to budgetary discipline.
      • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory standards (including IFRS).
      • Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted figures, highlighting key deviations.
      • Provide timely and accurate financial reports and presentations to executive management.
      • Build financial models through benchmarking, scenario planning, and process analysis.
      • Analyze current financial status and prepare recommendations for performance improvements.
      • Conduct research and analysis of historical financial data to support planning.
      • Coordinate with the CEO and executive team on long-term financial and strategic planning.
      • Review accounting transactions for accuracy and data integrity.
      • Participate in annual budget preparation for departments and projects.
      • Establish and enforce financial policies, ensuring confidentiality of financial data and investment decisions.
      • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting (mandatory).
    • Minimum of 6 years experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial planning.
    • Specialized certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, IFRS Diploma).
    • Advanced knowledge of IFRS, cost accounting, and management reporting.
    • Proven experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or equivalent.
