About Role:

The Principal Architect & Product Owner – Cross Functional Services Engineering (CFSE) plays a strategic leadership role in designing, delivering, and evolving enterprise service management solutions across Haleon. This role operates at the intersection of architecture, product ownership, and programme delivery, primarily leveraging the ServiceNow platform and its ecosystem.

You will collaborate with senior technology leaders, product owners, and business stakeholders to define scalable, integrated solutions that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and user experience. The role also involves driving innovation, automation, and proactive operations while ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture strategy.

Role Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Act as Product Owner for one or more platforms, including:

    • IT Service Management (ITSM)

    • IT Operations Management (ITOM) – CMDB & Event Management

    • Employee Self Service

    • IT Business Management (ITBM)

    • Integrations & Web Services

    • Customer Service Management (CSM) (Legal, Finance, Procurement)

    • HR Service Delivery

    • Test Management tools (ATF, AQM, TOSCA)

    • Monitoring tools and Command Centre (Single Pane of Glass)

  • Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and high-level design.

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Design enterprise-scale solutions integrating ServiceNow with other platforms.

  • Develop a unified tools architecture and automation framework.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure alignment with CTO strategy.

Delivery & Programme Management

  • Lead DevOps squads using Agile methodologies to deliver new capabilities.

  • Drive sprint-based delivery through Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

  • Apply programme management rigor to product workstreams using ServiceNow PPM tools.

  • Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of solutions.

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Oversee delivery, support, and performance of assigned products.

  • Work closely with Service Operations Managers for day-to-day service management.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of service processes and tools.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with business and technology stakeholders.

  • Participate in strategic planning and ensure alignment with business priorities.

  • Be accountable for delivering committed outcomes.

Governance & Reporting

  • Provide technical and management reporting.

  • Ensure adherence to governance, standards, and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15+ years of Proven experience managing Enterprise Service Management systems in a large organization.

  • Strong track record in project and programme delivery.

  • Experience with large-scale platform design and integrations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and manage third-party vendors and MSPs.

  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep technical expertise in ServiceNow and its ecosystem (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, etc.).

  • Experience with monitoring, event management, and capacity management tools.

  • Enterprise architecture capability to integrate multiple platforms into a cohesive ecosystem.

  • Strong business analysis mindset with the ability to identify innovative, high-value solutions.

  • Experience driving automation and proactive operations frameworks.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic decision-making.
