Our vision is New Futures for Young People We support young people and their children who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, to secure and maintain housing, address physical and mental health challenges, establish successful relationships and support networks, and access pathways to education and employment. Are you looking for a role with a values-driven, for-purpose organisation where you can make a real difference for young people in our community? Use your community services leadership experience to guide a team delivering intake, assessment, brief intervention, and planned support, including housing goals and tenancy skills for young people.

This position manages the effective operations of a 24/7, temporary supported accommodation for up to 22 young people aged 16-25 and leads a team of youth workers providing young people with tenancy and living skills, and planned support to ensure their housing and other goals are identified and met.

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Social Sciences or comparable qualification OR substantial demonstrated experience in similar service delivery.
  • Can demonstrate leadership in community services, guiding teams to deliver high-quality, youth-focused support while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous
    improvement in service delivery.
  • Have proven experience delivering youth programs, monitoring KPIs, managing operational risks, and achieving outcomes aligned with service agreements, funding requirements, and
    organisational priorities.
  • Are skilled in building strong networks and collaborative partnerships with external providers, stakeholders, and community organisations to enhance service access, integration, and
    outcomes for young people.
  • Have strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate complex workloads, and ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Can demonstrate highly developed communication skills, with the ability to work independently, use sound judgement, and make informed decisions while maintaining clear, professional written and verbal communication.

Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

  • A Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
  • A National Coordinated Criminal History Check [Police Check].
  • Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella [Chicken Pox], and Pertussis [Whooping Cough].

The organisation employs almost 100 staff and provides emergency assistance, housing, physical and mental health services and specialist programs for young women and young families.
