JOB TITLE: Runner
DEPARTMENT: Valet

The Valet Runner position is responsible for retrieving our guest vehicles, helping to unload/re-load luggage, park cars carefully and returning vehicles quickly as well as providing professional, courteous, and overall satisfaction when guests are arriving and departing our property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
• Demonstrate attention to detail and complete assignment accurately
• Ability to follow instructions provided in both written and verbal form
• High attention to detail and workplace safety
• Must be self- motivated and able to work under pressure
• Assist with guests in a prompt courteous manner
• Maintains communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep fellow Team Members informed of all pertinent information
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area in order to assist customers
• Able to effectively park and retrieve guest cars without causing damage to the vehicle
• Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, and buses
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
• Ability to communicate in English
• Proficient in computer applications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Must process a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Must have or obtain all required work cards
• Must possess excellent guest service skills to effectively deal with guests
• Previous valet experience preferred
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
• Must be able to stand during entire shift
• Work is typically in an area which may be noisy and may contain secondhand smoke
• Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping
• Able to effectively park and retrieve guest cars without causing damage to the vehicle
• Tasks will include but not limited to the maintenance and care of assigned area
• Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests
