Job Description

The Center for Technology, Innovation & Competition (CTIC) invites applications for a CTIC Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School starting immediately upon hiring. It is a one-year appointment with the potential for a one-year extension. The fellow will work with Professor Christopher Yoo and project partners supporting CTIC’s research and projects.

Responsibilities of the fellow will include but are not limited to:

  • Clean and manage large datasets
  • Conduct statistical analyses of data using R/Stata
  • Prepare literature reviews, background research, and other draft content for grant proposals and academic papers
  • Draft project reports, research protocols, and other project documents
  • Prepare presentations for large venues – e.g., U.N. bodies
  • Organize events in international venues
  • Represent the project on conference calls and email discussions with various stakeholders
  • Maintain project website

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate degree in Business, Decision Sciences, Data Sciences, Computer Science, Information Science, Informatics, Communications, International Development, Public Policy or related fields with substantial quantitative coursework
  • Strong technical, analytic, computational, and writing skills
  • Prior research or professional experience related to ICT4D
  • Proficiency programming in R or Stata
  • Willingness to travel

Preferred

  • Familiarity with financial modeling
