Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of office work experience; Health Promotions experience is preferred. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office, type at least 45 words per minute, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and have experience using standard office equipment and maintaining filing systems. A valid California driver’s license with at least three consecutive years of licensed driving experience, a safe driving record, current DMV printout, and continued insurability under the Corporation’s insurance carrier are required. Must have or be willing to obtain current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to orientation.
The Tribal Family Partner Program Assistant is a full-time, grant-funded position that provides clerical and administrative support for the Native Challenge Tribal Family Partners Program. Duties include assisting with program enrollments, scheduling meetings, answering phones, maintaining files and referrals, preparing correspondence and meeting minutes, purchasing and tracking supplies, creating flyers, and supporting community recruitment events. The position requires strong customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills, as well as the ability to work independently and meet established deadlines. This position is funded by a Grant. Must be able to work with the Indian community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
Duties of this position shall include but are not limited to the following:
Qualifications: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of office work experience; Health Promotions experience is preferred.
CPR (BLS Provider) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. Certification may be obtained prior to orientation.
Type 45 words per minute. Excellent grammar, spelling, and verbal, and written communication skills are required. Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
The position requires working in an office environment with usual equipment including phones, computers, copiers, scanners, eFax, etc. Organization of file systems. The position also requires driving; must maintain a safe driving history and good knowledge of traffic laws.
Current CPR Certification that meets the guidelines from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (Can be obtained prior to orientation)
Valid California driver’s license, have at least three consecutive years of licensed driving experience, and maintain a safe driving record consistent with California Good Driver guidelines. A current DMV printout is required prior to hire and every six months thereafter. Must remain insurable by the Corporation’s insurance carrier and demonstrate safe vehicle and patient transportation practices.
Learn computer data systems; Microsoft Office, graphics on P.C., and other programs as it benefits the program. Continuously upgrade skills through in-service training and/or continuing education. Meet routine, established deadlines without supervisor’s directive, i.e., filing accomplished on a daily basis. Perform office practice functions with limited supervision of routine tasks.
Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
Ability to lift 20 lbs. This position requires transporting supplies regularly.
Full-Time, 40 Hours, Non-Exempt
$21.00 per hour ($43,680 annually)
