Job Location: San Manuel - Grand Terrace, CA 92313
Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Summary:
Applicant must possess a High School Diploma. Associate's degree preferred. Minimum of two years supervised experience working in early child development or home visiting setting. Parent Partner I (home visitor I) conducts bi-monthly home visits using the selected evidence-based model with program-approved cultural adaptions to parents/legal guardian caregivers of AI/AN children from prenatal to kindergarten entry. They maintain a caseload of 16 enrolled households. Parent Partners use screening tools and assessments to gather performance measurement, programmatic, and demographic data required by the grant in accordance with a schedule. Referrals are provided as needs are identified. Alongside all program staff, they engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI). Parent Partners plan and deliver group connections and events for enrolled participants in accordance with the program model. A flexible schedule is required. Applicant must possess a valid California Drivers License with a safe driving record, DMV record required. Must have or willing to obtain current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross prior to orientation. This position is funded by a Grant. Must be able to work with the Indian community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct and document home visits with fidelity to the home visiting model
- Build rapport, provide support, and assist in strengthening family dynamics
- Share developmental information and conduct developmental screenings
- Provide referrals to community resources related to family’s needs
- Establish and maintain relationships with various agencies that provide services to AI/AN Families.
- Plan and implement group connections and events for program participants
- Participate in various meetings/trainings for the purpose of professional development
- Administer questionnaires for grant reporting purposes
- Provide health and developmental screenings to children and families
- Comfort in engaging in cultural adaptions to individual AIAN family needs
- Meet program deadlines in accordance with rigorous evaluation requirements and quality control
- Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs

QualificationsEducation:
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Early Child Development, Social Services, Psychology or related field preferred

Experience:
Minimum of two years supervised experience working in early child development within a home visiting program serving children ages 0 to 5 (prenatal to kindergarten).
Knowledge of:
The position requires working in an office environment with usual equipment including phones, computers, copiers, and efax. The position also requires significant driving; must maintain a safe driving history and good knowledge of traffic laws.
Skill:
Utilize strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients. Comfortable working independently and with a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to use computer hardware and software required.
License:
Must possess a valid California driver’s license. A current DMV printout is required and updated every six months.
Ability to:
Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs. Continuously upgrade skills through in-service training and/or continuing education. Meet routine, established deadlines without supervisor’s directive, i.e., filing accomplished on a daily basis. Perform office practice functions with limited supervision of routine tasks.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 20 lbs. This position requires transporting supplies between locations for home visits, group connections, events, etc.
Appointment Type:
Full-Time, 40 Hours, Non-Exempt, benefit-eligible position

Compensation:
$22.00–$24.00 per hour ($45,760–$49,920 annually, depending on experience and internal equity)
