Job Description

We are currently seeking a Field Traffic Systems Test Officer to join our team in Notting Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and contributing to road safety outcomes.

About the Role

As a Test Officer, you will support the testing, calibration and verification of road safety enforcement technology and other traffic systems equipment. Working closely with the Test Engineer, you'll help ensure testing is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include, however, not limited to:

• Conducting testing and calibration of traffic systems and road safety enforcement technology.
• Preparing, maintaining and managing testing equipment and tools.
• Recording test results, observations and assessments accurately.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Maintaining accurate records of testing activities and time allocation.
• Supporting traffic management activities in line with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Delivering high-quality service and maintaining a strong customer focus.
• Assisting the Project Manager and wider Traffic Systems team as required.

Qualifications

About You

We're looking for someone who is technically minded, detail-oriented and committed to working safely. Previous traffic management experience is highly regarded.

You will ideally have:

• A Certificate in Electronics, or progressing towards one; alternatively, equivalent technical experience and qualifications.
• An understanding of traffic management practices and roadside safety requirements.
• Knowledge of testing, measurement or calibration processes.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare accurate technical records and reports.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• The ability to read, interpret and follow technical instructions, procedures and standards.
• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
