As the Testing Lead – Automation and Engineering Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping quality outcomes across complex enterprise technology initiatives. Working closely with technology and business teams, you will lead end-to-end testing strategy and execution while championing the adoption of automation and continuous testing practices. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership and coaching, helping uplift quality engineering capability across the organisation. You will influence how quality is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement that enables reliable, efficient and high-quality customer and business outcomes.
Your Impact
Lead end-to-end test planning and execution across complex programmes, ensuring delivery milestones are achieved with confidence and quality.
Drive the adoption of test automation and continuous testing practices to improve efficiency, coverage and reliability across delivery teams.
Strengthen automation frameworks and CI/CD integration to accelerate feedback, reduce manual effort and support high-quality releases.
Influence quality strategy, governance and best practice, enabling informed decision-making and consistent testing standards.
Mentor and uplift QA professionals, building capability and fostering a collaborative culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement.
Optimise test environment and data readiness, reducing delivery risks and supporting stable, effective testing outcomes.
Your Capabilities
You have proven experience leading test planning and execution across complex enterprise-scale technology programmes.
You bring hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks, such as Playwright, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
You have the ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You bring strong critical thinking and judgement, enabling you to navigate complexity, manage risk and guide quality-focused decisions.
You have a passion for coaching and capability uplift, helping others grow and strengthening quality engineering practices across teams.
You may also have a tertiary qualification in computer science or a related discipline, and advanced software testing or quality assurance certifications such as ISTQB.
