The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Test Technician Lead and help ensure that the materials and products supporting our manufacturing operations meet established quality standards.

In this hands-on role, you will perform laboratory testing, analyze results, and maintain accurate quality records. Your work will support the evaluation of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct routine laboratory tests according to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment with appropriate guidance.
  • Record test results accurately in laboratory notebooks and designated systems.
  • Support investigations involving quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer concerns.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis and prepare reports for review.
  • Follow safety requirements, Good Laboratory Practices, and quality management systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • An associate degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance laboratory is preferred.
  • Familiarity with common laboratory equipment, testing methods, and analytical techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices or relevant quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when testing, analyzing, and documenting information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with effective written and verbal communication skills.
