Location/Division Specific Information
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Test Technician. The role is based at our Tewksbury site and will have a key impact on the success of the Compliance Test Solutions (CTS) Business Unit. CTS is the leader in providing ESD testing equipment that helps manufacturers meet their test requirements to help reduce catastrophic failure, ensure product quality, and speed time to market. CTS products have proven to be the most reliable and dependable in the world.

How will you make an impact?

As a Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products. Your expertise in powering on, calibrating, and testing products down to the component level will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality ESD test equipment to our customers.

By performing detailed failure analysis, pre-assembly component testing, and final QA testing, you will help maintain the high standards of excellence that our products are known for. Your role in assembly and system testing will further support the seamless integration and operation of our products, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform system power-up, setup, calibration, and basic functional testing while accurately documenting results and generating calibration reports.
  • Conduct troubleshooting of system and component-level issues identified during testing and calibration processes.
  • Support testing, repair, and verification of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) used in manufacturing and service operations.
  • Help diagnose, repair, and test products returned through the RMA process under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
  • Support daily manufacturing activities including product assembly, testing, inspection, and quality verification.
  • Assist with field service support activities by helping troubleshoot system issues and documenting findings.
  • Maintain organized records of testing, repairs, and calibration activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and ESD handling procedures while working with electronic equipment.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and product knowledge with opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility.

Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent hands-on technical training, internship experience, or relevant vocational education will also be considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience in electronics testing, manufacturing, repair, or related technical work environment preferred.
  • Strong interest in electronics troubleshooting, testing, and hands-on technical work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Basic ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with soldering and handling electronic components and printed circuit boards.
  • Understanding of electronic troubleshooting principles and basic diagnostic techniques.
  • Experience or coursework using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies is a plus.
  • Comfortable using computers for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and service teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $30.00–$32.50.
