About the Role
We're currently seeking an experienced Test Manager to join a major enterprise program within the energy sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned testing professional to lead the planning, strategy and delivery of testing across a complex technology landscape supporting critical energy infrastructure.
We're looking for someone with a strong background in test management, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience defining and implementing testing strategies across large-scale transformation programs. Experience within the energy sector, particularly across Virtual Power Plants (VPP), Renewables, Generation or Infrastructure, will be required.
What You'll Do
Define and implement end-to-end test strategies aligned to project objectives.
Lead test planning, estimation and scheduling across multiple workstreams.
Conduct test gap analysis and identify risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
Drive continuous improvement across testing processes, governance and delivery practices.
Manage testing activities through the full project lifecycle, ensuring quality outcomes are achieved.
Engage with senior business and technology stakeholders, providing regular updates and strategic guidance.
Coordinate cross-functional testing teams and collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure successful execution.
Support the adoption and uplift of automation practices where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
10+ years' experience in Test Management across large enterprise environments.
Proven experience defining and delivering test strategies for complex transformation programs.
Strong experience in test planning, estimation, risk management and test governance.
Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at senior executive level.
Demonstrated experience driving process improvement and testing maturity.
Experience within the energy sector, ideally across Virtual Power Plants (VPP), Renewables, Generation or Infrastructure.
Tertiary qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
Nice to Have
Background in test automation and automation strategy.
Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
Exposure to enterprise test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM or qTest.
Experience leading geographically distributed or cross-functional testing teams.
