This is an exciting opportunity for a testing leader who is passionate about quality engineering, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and building high-performing teams while influencing quality outcomes across both Technology and Business functions.

To Do This Successfully you will

  • Champion the use of Generative AI and agentic testing capabilities including test case generation, test data preparation, defect analysis, test automation, and risk-based testing.
  • Establish meaningful quality metrics, reporting dashboards, and performance measures to support data-driven decision making.
  • Build strong relationships with project teams, technology leaders, architects, delivery managers, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and manage testing risks, dependencies, issues, and remediation plans.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices, tools, processes, and capability development across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor, coach, and influence testing professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Successful Applicants will demonstrate

  • Proven experience leading large-scale testing functions across complex technology delivery environments.
  • Strong experience managing offshore and vendor-based testing teams and delivering successful outcomes through matrix leadership models.
  • Demonstrated expertise in testing governance, test planning, estimation, execution management, and stakeholder reporting.
  • A deep understanding of quality engineering principles, test automation, and modern software delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and other enterprise testing solutions.
  • Practical experience implementing or leveraging Generative AI capabilities within the software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong financial, resource, and capacity management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and delivery deadlines.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the confidence to engage senior business and technology leaders.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align testing outcomes with broader organisational objectives.
  • A track record of driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality, automation coverage, and delivery performance.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or similar professional certification will be highly regarded.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services, underwriting, or claims environments will be advantageous.
