As a Test Equipment Engineering Intern within the Germany division, you will contribute to real, hands-on test equipment design and build efforts spanning high voltage distribution, battery systems, structural and vibration validation, drive units, and drive inverters. This is a unique opportunity to apply your engineering studies in a fast-moving environment, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians who will support your growth throughout your placement.

What You’ll Do

  • Support mechanical and electro-mechanical design of test rigs and fixtures in 3D CAD (3D Experience)
  • Assist with sensor and measurement equipment integration and DAQ setup
  • Participate in hands-on assembly, installation, and bring-up of test equipment
  • Support testing operations by building profiles and running tests
  • Help create and maintain engineering documentation (BOMs, build instructions, test reports)
  • Track tasks and deliverables in Jira/Confluence alongside the engineering team

What You’ll Bring

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (2+ years completed)
  • Basic 3D CAD experience (any tool; CATIA V5 3D Experience preferred)
  • Foundational knowledge in at least one area: HV/battery systems, structural/vibration testing, or drive unit/power electronics
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits and basic measurement tools
  • Python or LabVIEW exposure is a plus
  • Fluent English required; German is a strong advantage
