A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Technician (Test Engineering) at MKS, you will work with Production Operators and Test Engineers to perform test troubleshooting for advanced power solutions products and perform test equipment-related functions. In this role, you will report to the Test Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Debug/Analyze test failures on Production units to help on-time delivery.
• Closely monitor test yields, identify and report failure trends to Test Engineers to drive continuous yields improvements.
• Perform manual and automated testing of software, hardware, and integrated systems.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using appropriate tools.
• Conduct quick and accurate inspections to determine the root cause of failures, which may be caused by components/workmanship/wrong assembly/testing setup/environment etc.
• Perform system/circuit-level analysis to identify failure PCBAs.
• Keep detailed records of all repaired products, including failure types, repair methods, and the time taken for each repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance of testing equipment/fixtures/accessories to ensure smooth production operation and eliminate unplanned downtime.
• Perform equipment replacement and setup activities per on-site/send out calibration schedule to make sure no production test down caused by calibration over-due equipment.
• Participate in improvement projects with teams. Share insights from the repair process to help engineers optimize the test procedures or report to drive product design improvement.

Skills You Bring:

• Min 3 years of related experience required.
• Min Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
• Written/Spoken English proficiency required.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications required (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Proficient in carrying out electrical test procedures in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read/analyze circuits and block diagrams, which is essential for troubleshooting electronic failures.
• Proficiency in using various electronic repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Detail-oriented with strong responsibility and accuracy in executing tasks independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
• System-level test debug experiences an added advantage.
