As a Test Engineer in our Powertrain Solutions division, you will contribute to the validation of innovative transmission control unit solenoid technologies throughout the entire product development lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing validation activities while supporting the development and continuous improvement of test environments, test benches, and laboratory infrastructure.
Your tasks:
► Planning and coordinating validation activities and test programs based on project and customer requirements
► Developing test plans, test cases, and validation concepts from development phase through series release
► Executing laboratory tests on prototypes and series products and supporting daily validation activities
► Defining, developing, and optimizing test benches, measurement systems, sensors, and actuators
► Supporting the setup, commissioning, and continuous improvement of laboratory infrastructure and test equipment
► Selecting appropriate test methods, setups, and measurement techniques in cooperation with development teams
► Analyzing test results, validating system performance, and identifying opportunities for product improvements
► Performing root cause analyses and supporting design optimization activities
► Introducing and coordinating new test methods, validation processes, and test equipment
► Preparing technical documentation, test reports, and presentations
► Collaborating closely with international development, production, supplier, and customer teams
► BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
► Strong understanding of testing methodologies, measurement systems, and validation processes
► Hands-on experience in laboratory environments and test bench operation or development
► Experience with data acquisition systems and test result evaluation
► Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
► Ability to work independently as well as in international, cross-functional teams
► Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken

► Experience in automotive testing, validation, or product verification
► Experience with test bench development, automation, or scripting tools (e.g. LabVIEW, Python)
