Job Title: Manual Tester – PowerApps & API

Experience: 4–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester with strong experience in testing Microsoft PowerApps applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of Power Platform solutions by performing thorough manual testing of applications, workflows, and integrations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, and UAT testing for PowerApps solutions.
• Test Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps to ensure compliance with business requirements and UI/UX standards.
• Validate Dataverse entities, relationships, forms, views, and business rules.
• Test Power Automate flows for workflow accuracy, data processing, and exception handling.
• Perform API testing (REST APIs) using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Validate API requests and responses, including JSON and XML payloads.
• Ensure data integrity and security across integrations between PowerApps, APIs, and backend systems.
• Report, track, and retest defects using defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and test scenarios.
• Participate in requirement review and provide early feedback on testability.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, test plans, and test execution reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in Manual Testing.
• Hands-on experience testing PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps).
• Experience testing Power Automate workflows.
• Strong knowledge of API testing (REST services).
• Proficiency in validating JSON and XML data formats.
• Experience using API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Ability to identify edge cases, perform negative testing, and validate error handling.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience testing applications built on Microsoft Dataverse.
• Basic understanding of Power Platform architecture.
• Exposure to Dynamics 365 testing.
• Knowledge of Azure services used in integrations.
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
