Job Description

, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Own end-to-end firmware validation across the Fanatec ecosystem and product portfolio, including planning, execution, and ensuring coverage at integration and system levels
  • Design and maintain test automation frameworks, drive automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and coverage
  • Test Case Management
    Develop, validate, execute, and refine test cases based on defined requirements and test plans. Evaluate test results to identify gaps, support requirement discovery, and drive improvements.
  • Perform integration testing on integration firmware to ensure system stability across hardware and software interactions
  • Conduct bug fix validation, regression testing, and dedicated release testing to ensure stability and readiness before final release
  • Test Reporting and Communication
    Review and validate test results, create structured test reports, and present interim findings in project meetings. Ensure continuous communication on test phase status, milestones, and potential impacts on project timelines.
  • Issue Tracking and Resolution
    Monitor and manage issues in GitLab and Jira. Handle bug validation, regression testing, and sustain ongoing quality control.
  • Utilize tools such as GitLab (version control, CI/CD), Jira (defect tracking), and test management systems to track development, testing, and release activities
  • Test Method Development

    Design and implement new testing methods, systems, and measurement techniques, including the development of custom measurement scripts

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Validation, Computer Engineering, or a related field – or at least 3 years of professional experience in hardware and software system testing
  • Programming skills in Phyton and relevant automation languages as a must.
  • Responsible, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results on schedule
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional, international teams
  • Solid analytical mindset and attention to detail when identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues
  • Fluency in English
  • Open-minded, curious, and motivated to continuously improve both personal skills and testing processes
  • Familiarity with sim racing and popular racing titles such as iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Gran Turismo 7, etc.
  • Passion for motorsports, esports, and sim racing technologies
  • Existing knowledge of Fanatec products is a strong advantage
  • Deep understanding of the sim racing ecosystem, hardware platforms, and user personas
