NewPhotonics is disrupting data center processing with novel photonic engines solving the power and performance challenges.We are seeking a highly motivated Test Development & Manufacturing leader to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of production test solutions for advanced semiconductor devices. This role is responsible for defining test strategies from wafer through system level, supporting production ramp, driving yield improvement, managing external test partners, and ensuring robust manufacturing test capabilities across multiple OSATs.
Key Responsibilities
· Test Development & Manufacturing
o Develop and implement production test solutions at wafer, die, package, system, and Burn-In levels.
o Design, specify, and support the development and manufacturing of probe cards and load boards.
o Define test methodologies, specifications, and manufacturing test flows.
o Implement production test programs on ATE platforms and support test release into manufacturing.
o Provide onsite support during production ramp-up and qualification activities.
o Lead implementation of test solutions at secondary manufacturing and OSAT sites.
· Supplier & Project Management
o Manage external test houses and manufacturing partners, including project planning, priorities, schedules, deliverables, and issue resolution.
o Coordinate activities across R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Test Houses, and OSAT partners.
o Drive technical reviews, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness with external suppliers.
· Test Optimization & Production Support
o Optimize test programs to improve yield, reduce test time, and maximize manufacturing throughput.
o Analyze test duration and capacity to support production planning and manufacturing scalability.
o Support manufacturing, quality, and customer issues from the testing perspective.
o Support Failure Analysis (FA) activities, including establishment of FA procedures, stations, and methodologies.
· Data Analysis & Yield Improvement
o Develop statistical analysis tools for yield monitoring, characterization, and root cause analysis.
o Perform detailed test data analysis to ensure high-confidence and repeatable test results.
o Analyze yield trends by failure mechanisms and drive deep-dive investigations.
o Define, execute, and review Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R) studies.
o Present yield analysis, trends, key findings, and corrective actions to management.
Qualifications
· Required
o B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
o Proven experience in semiconductor production testing. 10+ years
o Hands-on experience with CMOS wafer-level and die-level testing.
o Experience developing and implementing production test solutions on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
o Strong experience in yield analysis, statistical data analysis, and test optimization.
o Experience working with external test houses and OSAT manufacturing partners.
o Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
· Preferred
o Experience with Silicon Photonics (SiPh) testing.
o Experience with optical device and optical module testing.
o Experience with Advantest ATE platforms.
o Familiarity with semiconductor test equipment and manufacturing environments.
o Experience using YieldHub or similar yield analysis software.
o Experience supporting NPI through high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
