Job Description

Our team develops solutions that enable product development, characterization, and calibration/testing that fuel Apple's never- ending pursuit of perfection in customer experience and quality. We are seeking hardworking team members with a desire to see their work make an impact in the lives of our customers around the world.

The System Test Design Lead (TDL) champions product calibration and test strategy while balancing tradeoffs between quality / customer experience and operational requirements (assembly/test processes and costs). The TDL integrates with various teams across design, software, and operations on new product definition to enable product characterization and provide efficient test solutions for high volume manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with FMEA and FA processes - root-cause investigations of issues and recommendations for design improvements.
Knowledge of statistical data analysis methods.
Engineering build leadership, ownership for factory cal/test strategy and bringup interfacing with factory teams.
Have an understanding of physics and electronics; is capable of applying creativity, common sense, and technical skills to tackle sophisticated problems.
Outstanding problem solving ability.
Prior technical leadership and/or project management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel domestic (if required by home location,~3day trips) and internationally 5-10% of the time in 10-12 day trips.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, EE/CE Master’s degree preferred
5-10yrs experience
Excellent understanding of hardware/software architecture and interoperability of complex systems.
Prior experience with integration of one or more of the following technologies: acoustics, sensing (motion, touch), transducers, imaging, displays, electrical interconnect and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc..).
