General Information

Test Designer is in responsible to design, specify, procure, and maintain the methods and tools required for development, verification, and validation of electronic components (ECUs & integrated products containing electronics) + Designing the test cases and maintaining the R&D automated test equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Assesses product requirements (segment, platform, customer) and creates verification & validation plans appropriate for the component. ®
• Specifies, orders, validates, and maintains load 'benches' for verification & validation activities. Supports users of benches with issues, understanding, change requests. Light Benches & Breakout boxes may be used by software developers, Application teams, plant and field quality Engineers, and other partners. Validation bench design may include specifying load cards to fit standardized systems or interfacing with vendors to design custom systems. ®
• Specifies, orders, debugs, and validates TSW (embedded test software), VAL (embedded validation software), Coredo sessions, security keys. ®
• Creates mission / operating profiles consistent with V&V objectives + DV & PV support ®
• Interact with New Product Launch / Industrial Engineering team members to ensure Design for Manufacturability concerns are addressed with the design outputs. ®
• Support Change Management: Analyze & estimate impact of new & changed requirements, focused on all aspects of the hardware: cost, size, time, effort, validation activities, mfg. test, etc. ®
• Design and documentation of production test specification (Test process like AOI, ICT, flash and functional test) + Design and development of test system for functional test. (ATE- Automatic test Equipment) ®
• Manufacturing package release – SW and HW industrialization. ®
• Analysis/release/check and improvement for capability studies such as MSA and PCA. ®
• Test coverage, trace/measurement protocol, flash dump/memory area analysis and release. ®
• Experience in automatic test system design -test equipment development for ECUs(SS)
• Experience in measurement libraries coding design with VBA, C#, C++for the hardware access control (SS)
• Experience in test protocol sequencing with front end in Agilent TxSL / NI Test Stand (SS)
• Experience in test system design using LabVIEW / Windows CVI & VB(SS)
• Experience in designing manufacturing defect analyzer testing jigs for the custom developed boards. (SS)
• Good knowledge in Modular Level: VXI, PXI, PCI, GPIB, RS232/485, Ethernet/IEEE 802.3, USB & Circuit Level: CAN, LIN, K -Line, SPI, I2C + Proficient in standard office software tools: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project + electronics laboratory tools: scopes, DMM, signal generator, power supply (SS)
• Experience in project tracking, configuration management, change management, project quality assurance.

Your Qualifications

• Degree (at least Bachelor, Or Masters) in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
• Sound knowledge on manufacturing process of electronic assemblies for automotive field
• Sound knowledge on test concepts for Electronic and Electromechanical assemblies the scopes of development, validation, and manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience in design & development of products to automotive standards.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communications skills
• Show initiative & are motivated to work in a project team environment to collectively achieve customer focused goals
