Job Description

As a Test Capability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our testing capabilities and ensuring the quality of our products. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of efficient testing strategies, enabling us to deliver exceptional user experiences. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify and address potential issues, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential issues, ensuring a seamless testing process.
  • Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality and user experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in testing, incorporating new methodologies to enhance our capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining the highest level of product quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics/Photonics, or a related field (PhD welcome; equivalent industry experience considered)
  • Experience in optical and/or electrical product test, manufacturing test, or hardware validation — typically
  • 3+ years, or a strong MS/PhD with relevant lab or factory test work
  • Ability to read test results in physical terms (what the measurement is doing, why a unit fails, what to change)
  • Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and traveling regularly between Bangalore and Bangkok manufacturing sites
  • Clear technical communication with R&D, manufacturing, and technicians

Nice-to-have

  • Coherent pluggable / PIC test, calibration, and yield TROSA / photonic-assembly test, calibration, and yield
  • Test-plan development, testability requirements, or production limit/sequence ownership
  • Fault isolation, SPC, or cycle-time reduction in a test factory
  • SQL / relational data (MySQL or similar) for high-volume test extraction
  • JMP, Python (pandas/NumPy), or similar tools for exploratory analysis and reporting
  • Source control (Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Git) or test-automation languages used on the floor (e.g. VB.NET, Python)
