Project Role Description : Lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions.

As a Test Automation Lead, a typical day involves spearheading the evolution of testing practices to establish a seamless and efficient quality engineering process. This role focuses on enhancing the overall control, precision, and reliability of testing activities by integrating advanced tools and methodologies. The position requires driving innovation in testing strategies, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring that testing efforts are predictive and intelligent. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align testing objectives with project goals is a key aspect, alongside overseeing the implementation of cutting-edge testing solutions that elevate the quality standards across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Karate DSL. Build reusable test assets for RESTful APIs. Implement contract testing and schema validation for APIs
- Define test strategy, coverage approach, and automation roadmap aligned to project objectives. Ensure automation scalability with modular, data-driven and BDD-based design
- Create and maintain feature files using Karate DSL syntax, and data-driven test scenarios using external data sources (CSV/JSON)
- Integrate Karate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps) & Reporting tools (Allure, Karate Reports)
- Build advanced capabilities such as Dynamic payload generation, Reusable test utilities and helper libraries, Mocking/stubbing for dependent services
- Testing in Kong Gateway / API Gateway Environment Validate APIs deployed through Kong Gateway, including: Routing and service configurations, API versioning and endpoint exposure
- Test gateway-level features including - Authentication (OAuth2, JWT, API keys), Rate limiting, throttling
Request/response transformations
- Collaborate with platform teams for gateway policy validation and optimization
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions
- Lead the adoption of continuous testing practices to enhance delivery speed and quality.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Karate automation framework, API Testing
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing automated test frameworks using Karate DSL
- Experience in integrating automated tests within continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
- Experience automating functional/regression test cases involving REST APIs (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH) and GraphQL queries, mutations, and schema validations
- Maintain coding standards in automation frameworks
- Ability to analyze complex test scenarios and develop effective automation solutions.
- Familiarity with scripting languages and test management tools to support automation efforts.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to test automation execution and reporting.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in Karate DSL test automation framework
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
