We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript | Playwright/Cypress, 3-5 years) to join our team.

You’ll make a difference by:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining robust end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright or Cypress with JavaScript (Node.js).
  • Implementing and executing API automation testing through code-based solutions for improved test coverage and integration validation.
  • Creating clean, scalable, and maintainable automation scripts aligned with quality engineering best practices.
  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and quality strategies.
  • Performing functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing to ensure product reliability.
  • Managing the complete defect lifecycle, including defect identification, reporting, tracking, and validation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams including developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated test suites.
  • Driving quality improvements through effective testing processes, root cause analysis, and continuous feedback.

Education & Experience

  • B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
  • Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing across web applications and APIs.
  • Strong experience with modern Agile development environments and quality engineering practices.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) for test automation development.
  • Hands-on expertise in Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end application testing.
  • Experience in API test automation using code-based frameworks and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, testing life cycle (STLC), and defect management processes.
  • Experience in requirement analysis, test planning, test design, execution, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
  • Experience with Git, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with defect and test management tools such as IBM Jazz, Quality Center, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with modern DevOps and quality engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of test framework design, reusable automation architecture, and automation best practices.
  • Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing concepts.
  • Experience integrating automated test suites within enterprise CI/CD environments.
  • Understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience working with global and distributed teams.
  • Relevant certifications in Software Testing, Automation Testing, Agile, or Quality Engineering.
