Test & Integration Manager - Defense Electronics - Onsite position

The Test & Integration Manager leads system integration, verification, validation, and production test activities for complex aerospace and defense electronic systems. This role manages multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensures products meet technical, schedule, quality, and customer requirements from development through production.

Location Santa Clarita, CA - Onsite

Salary: $ 144,100 - 192,100 per year plus bonus

Your Challenge:

- Lead system integration and test engineering teams across product lifecycle phases.

- Develop and execute system verification and validation (V&V) strategies.

- Lead development, maintenance, and technology refresh for test equipment capabilities, including

- Manage hardware, software, and subsystem integration activities.

Liaison between the Manufacturing Operations team and Engineering for system troubleshooting and anomaly resolution

- Define and oversee:

  • Test plans

  • Test procedures

  • Qualification protocols

  • Acceptance testing

  • Environmental testing

- Coordinate with:

  • Program Management

  • Hardware Engineering

  • Manufacturing

  • Quality

  • Supply Chain

  • Customers

- Ensure compliance with defense and aerospace standards.

- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for integration and test failures.

- Support customer demonstrations, audits, and technical reviews.

- Manage project schedules, staffing, budgets, and resource planning.

Improve test automation, efficiency, and manufacturing readiness.

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering; Computer Engineering or any related technical discipline

- 8–10+ years of experience in:

  • System integration

  • Electronics testing

  • Test equipment development and maintenance

  • Aerospace/defense engineering

  • 3–5+ years of people leadership experience

- Experience with:

  • Electronic subsystems

  • Hardware integration

  • Debug and failure analysis

  • Automated test environments

- Knowledge of:

  • Requirements traceability

  • Configuration management

  • Verification methodologies

  • Manufacturing test processes

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace / defense electronics background.

Experience with:

  • MIL-STD qualification testing

  • Environmental testing

  • AS9100 environments

  • High-reliability systems

Familiarity with:

  • System architecture

  • Data acquisition

  • Lab instrumentation

  • Continuous improvement methods.
