To help us continue to grow our offerings, we’re searching for a Territory Sales Manager supporting the area of North Texas. As the Territory Sales Manager, you will develop relationships with new dealers and maintain existing dealer retail accounts using a pull-through selling technique targeting residential roofing contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops sales plan for assigned territory of North Texas (DFW, Amarillo, Lubbock, OKC)
  • Calls on dealers, distributors, building material distributors, and contractors.
  • Demonstrates products effectively to customers, installers, and prospects.
  • Provides product knowledge and assistance to dealers and customers regarding installation information and operation of product.
  • Trains dealers and installers in proper use of products.
  • Inspects customer inventory levels and assist with reordering.
  • Works with customers regarding store displays and advertising.
  • Organizes sales campaigns including prospecting for new accounts and servicing existing accounts.
  • Calculates and quotes prices, closes transactions, and takes orders.
  • Coordinates orders and servicing of accounts with inside staff.
  • Surveys market and prospects including comparative information on competitive products and pricing.
  • Manages time for maximum productivity. Prepares efficient itineraries to maximize Company travel time and to contain costs.
  • Represents Company and products at trade shows.
  • Maintains records of sales to facilitate analysis of sales efforts.
  • Meets sales quotas for territory.
  • Completes and submits in a timely manner all expense, travel, and sales reports.
  • Offers suggestions for improvements to existing products and ideas for new products.
  • Stays within expense/travel budgets and collateral support budgets.
  • Perform duties outside of territory as needed.
  • Directs and participates in ongoing safety training.
  • Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, management, and external contacts.
  • Completes accurately and in a timely manner all reports as required by the Company.
  • Attends meetings and classes as required.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in business and marketing or comparable studies required.

  • At least 2+ years' experience in outside sales or similar position, ideally in building products and/or roofing industry.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and mathematical skills.

  • Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database.

  • Salesmanship skills.

  • Ability to analyze and prioritize.

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

  • Ability to travel 40-50%
