Your Responsibilities Will Be

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be trained to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Design, implement, and integrate Profire Energy Combustion Solutions for client applications, using the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and integrate into industrial combustion control technology including ACL, Platinum/Surefire, Allen Bradley, Honeywell, and Process Solutions.
  • Perform installation scope, drawing package, electrical schematic review, component specification review, BOM recommendations and complete proposal of the combustion system, using AutoCAD photo analysis software tools, and PF Solutions Builder.
  • Train customers and distribution partners on Profire BMS technology and operation, combustion efficiency opportunities, emission reduction practices, multi-fuel air ratio control, lead lag, PID control and distributed Burner Management Systems (BMS) safety protocols.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and training on burner management related codes, global certification standards for combustion design equipment, and make recommendations to reduce emissions and increase efficiencies by using demonstrable knowledge of and prior experience in training and mentoring internal combustion technicians to further develop installation, troubleshooting and efficiency improvement skills.
  • Conduct technical site visits to review and inspect Natural Draft and Forced Draft combustion appliances to provide a re-design and retrofit project including a full turn-key combustion solution that utilizes existing instrumentation and communication technology to be integrated into the Profire BMS control by using ability to operate a combustion analyzer to determine efficiency opportunities and emission reduction practices.
  • Support domestic and international customers as technical subject matter expert on Profire BMS controllers and fuel gas system design, specification, and integration by using ability to properly size and calculate the correct burner configuration to ensure proper operation per appliance.
  • Train staff, customers, and distributors on Profire property and patented PF3100 technology, the Profire Reliability Network (PFRN), networking architecture and distributed network safety operation and integration into customer software for communications with SCADA connectivity and ROC System via MODBUS RS-485 protocol.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and training on burner management related codes, standards, and recommendations, using standards for Hazardous locations including standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the Safety Integrity Level (SIL), ATEX, and Hazloc.
  • Provide customers with technical and troubleshooting support related to Profire products and their integration with production, process and gathering technologies and strategies.
  • Expand market opportunities for Biogas and RNG alternative energy sources and select suitable Automation package.
  • Provide combustion training to International Distribution partners, Instrument Technicians, Gasfitters, Engineering, Field Installations, and Production staff members, to ensure optimal and correct methods are performed by installation teams.
  • This is a fully remote position. Worksite(s) are unanticipated.

Required Qualifications

  • High school degree and 10 years as a General Manger in the Combustion Industry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and integrate into industrial combustion control technology including ACL, Platinum/Surefire, Allen Bradley, Honeywell, and Process Solutions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and prior experience in providing combustion training to Engineering, Field Installations and Production staff members.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and prior experience in training and mentoring internal combustion technicians to further develop installation, troubleshooting and efficiency improvement skills.
  • Ability to operate a combustion analyzer to determine efficiency opportunities and emission reduction practices.
  • Ability to properly size and calculate the correct burner configuration to ensure proper operation per appliance.
  • Ability to create, read and analyze fuel train and wiring layouts via AutoCAD to complete business proposal packages for customer specific installations and retrofits.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and prior experience in:
    • AutoCAD photo analysis software tools.
    • PF Solutions Builder.
    • SCADA connectivity.
    • Modbus RS485 protocol.
    • Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) Control.
    • NFPA, ANSI, CSA, SIL, ATEX, and Hazloc standards.

Certifications Required: Formal Combustion Training Certificate. AutoCAD Engineering Certificate.

Travel Requirements (Requirement): Travel required - Travel domestically 12-15 days per month to client sites in Texas and Louisiana. Travel internationally 1-2 trips per year for minimum of 1 week. Travel to office in Victoria, Texas, 2 times per month.
