Job Description

We are the people who give possibilities purpose

BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

We are looking for a independent and driven Territory Manager to develop and grow our Surgery portfolio in South of Sweden, with a strong focus on Hernia Solutions and Breast Reconstruction/Aesthetic.

This role suits a self-starter who thrives on ownership, frequent travel, and building business from opportunity to execution. You will work autonomously in the field while collaborating closely with the wider Nordic organization.

This is a highly field-based role, offering the opportunity to work closely with customers across Sweden while helping shape solutions in a dynamic healthcare environment. You should expect regular travel throughout the country (up to four days per week), including occasional overnight stays, as well as international travel for training and industry events.

For optimal coverage of the South Sweden territory, we ideally seek candidates based in Jönköping or Borås. However, we welcome applications from elsewhere in the region, provided you are enthusiastic about extensive travel and building strong customer relationships across the territory.

You will receive comprehensive onboarding, including a two-week international intensive product and clinical training program, followed by continuous follow-up training and coaching.

Our vision for Surgery at BD

In Surgery, our products empower healthcare providers to reduce surgical complications, improve patient outcomes, and lower the total cost of surgical care. Our portfolio is clinically driven, evidence-based, and designed to support surgeons in both standard and complex procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive sales performance across South of Sweden for the Surgery portfolio, with focus on Hernia and Breast Reconstruction/Aesthetic.
  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with surgeons, nurses, and decision-makers.
  • Actively manage and influence tender processes, ensuring alignment with procurement requirements and internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and deliver product demonstrations, clinical workshops, and educational training sessions.
  • Identify, initiate, and execute new commercial opportunities within the territory.
  • Collaborate with Nordic sales and marketing team to execute campaigns, events, and symposia.
  • Represent the portfolio with strong clinical, technical, and commercial credibility.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to shape territory strategy.
  • Work independently in the field while ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Nursing, Life Sciences or equivalent.
  • Previous sales experience within medical devices or life sciences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage your own territory, and drive activities without close supervision.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a structured and analytical approach.
  • Experience with hospital tenders and complex negotiations.
  • Comfortable leading clinical discussions and engaging with senior healthcare professionals.
  • Curious, proactive, and not afraid to try new ways of working to create results.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across Norway and also international.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
