Job Description

The Territory Manager – Sales (Trade) will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share and product penetration, and developing a robust dealer, retailer and influencer network across the assigned territory. You will manage distributors, oversee trade schemes, ensure timely collections, gather market intelligence and coordinate with internal teams to deliver profitable growth for IN‑Novateur Electrical & Digital Systems Private Limited.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and drive primary and secondary sales growth.
  • Appoint, develop and manage distributors, ensuring adequate stock and performance monitoring.
  • Expand dealer, retailer and influencer network and ensure product availability at key outlets.
  • Implement trade schemes, promotions and customer engagement programs.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and monitor credit limits.
  • Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing and trends and share insights with management.
  • Guide and support PSAs, ADS and field executives for effective route planning and territory coverage.
  • Conduct regular market visits, retailer meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales, market and CRM reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor outlet coverage, scheme execution and visibility compliance to drive market share growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field.
  • 5‑8 years of experience in trade sales, FMCG, electrical, building materials, paints or consumer durables.
  • Proven experience in distributor and channel management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical product categories such as switches, wires, cables, lighting and accessories.
  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Ability to manage credit, collections and dealer financial health.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM and sales reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset for market analysis and problem‑solving.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
