Job Description

A strong product selection and positioning strategy begins with systematic trialing, evaluation, and reporting of new experimental varieties across all stages of development.


In the role of Product Developer, you will be responsible for conducting product trials, evaluating and analyzing hybrid performance, and identifying the most suitable hybrids for commercialization and positioning in the appropriate target markets.


Make a difference as a Product Developer
As a Product Developer, you will play an important role in developing trials plans of new lines of products within the crop and area of responsibility.

You will work closely with the Breeding, Product Management, and Sales teams as a member of the Product Development team to support data-driven decision-making and ensure the successful introduction and positioning of new varieties in the market.

In this role, your work will include:

  • Maximization of output of the product portfolio and contribution to the development of new lines of products within the crop and area of responsibility.

  • Development of trial plans.

  • Coordination, evaluation and reporting of results of research and commercial variety trials.

  • Support the introduction of new Enza Zaden varieties with technical support and clear positioning towards the Enza Zaden Sales team and to customers and prospects.

  • Identification of new promising experimental varieties from local screening and global Breeding and active contribution to the new variety decision process.

  • Ensure an optimum trial material seed supply

What you bring as our future colleague

As a Product Developer, you bring efficiency in planning and executing breeding experiments. You can coordinate external breeding and screening trials effectively, along with strong data management skills to support the Breeder/Senior Breeder in achieving successful crop evaluations and selections.

In addition, you possess the following:

  • A master’s degree in agriculture with specialization in Agronomy along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant practical experience

  • Independent worker with good understanding of products, local markets, and company processes.

  • Prepares reports and captures/analyzes data.

  • A problem-solving mindset

  • Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, with a willingness to develop, collaborate, and innovate

  • Readiness to work at the Indore (MP) location

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English and local language (Hindi), any additional languages will be added advantage

  • Ability to work seamlessly with cross functional teams

  • Passion to work and travel extensively

  • Hands on expertise on MS office (Excel, Powerpoint)
