Job Description

Hologic is seeking a dynamic and driven Breast Surgery Territory Manager (TM) to join our Canadian sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device sales, with equal focus on breast surgical products in the operating room and radiology products and services.

The TM will successfully manage a territory promoting the company’s Breast Health products to meet established sales objectives and goals in an ethical manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute an interactive, strategic, and tactical territory Sales Plan; including business reviews, education and events plan.
  • Provide and achieve sales forecast objectives for all products, to include capital equipment and related disposables for both breast surgery/radiology biopsy product lines.
  • Conduct sales calls, build rapport, and make presentations to surgeons, radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, technologists, hospital administration, hospital foundations and others necessary to achieve territory sales objectives,
  • Create and/or implement custom in-field promotional programs, in consultation with Marketing, for targeted regional customers and decision makers.
  • Establish and control territory operating budget.
  • Provide surgical procedure and technical product support in surgery and in radiology as well as ongoing customer service in accordance with company policy
  • Support the development of in-field training programs for regional centers of excellence and develop a close working relationship with the course director and facility
  • Work close with the Hologic Breast Health Clinical Applications team for on-site trainings
  • Plan and conduct educational programs at regional institutions for customer training and provide classroom or in-field training to new hires as needed.
  • Utilize CRM tools to document sales activities, manage accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide feedback on product performance, competition, products, marketing practices and customer satisfaction. Submit special reports regarding operation of the territory, product acceptance, and specifications, or competitive activity.
  • Attend all corporate training, sales meetings, conventions, and in-field development courses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales/marketing experience
  • Experience in capital equipment and/or medical instrument sales, a plus. Operating room and Radiology experience and demonstrated ability to work with surgeons and radiologists is desirable
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare system and procurement processes.
  • Ability to develop a market, based on a new product/technology and surgical and radiology procedures
  • Familiarity with clinical and economic outcome data, reimbursement, and managed care policies and procedures
  • Experience in developing and establishing professional education training courses for surgeons/radiologists and nursing/technologist staff

EDUCATION

  • B.A/B.S from an accredited university or college in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful sales experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and other popular business software.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Since this position requires extensive driving during the workday and sometimes evenings, a valid driving license and satisfactory driving record, as well as a serviceable vehicle available for work use is mandatory. The position requires traveling to regional accounts and medical conventions which may necessitate overnight stays.
  • Willingness to travel overnight (2-3x/week) extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to lift 25-pound piece of equipment.

  • Additional Info:

  • The annualized base salary range for this role is $72,200 to $112,600. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
