MWM offers energy solutions based on high-performance gas engines, used in highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants for decentralized energy generation. Our customized cogeneration power plants and integrated solutions support our customers in making their energy supply efficient, flexible, and future-proof. In 1871, Carl Benz laid the basis for MWM by founding the “Mechanical Workshop“ in Mannheim. Today, the MWM brand is part of Caterpillar Energy Solutions and combines more than 150 years of experience in the development and optimization of gas engines and generator sets for natural gas, biogas, and other special gases.

Requirements

  • Acquisition of new customers for new CHP plants as well as service and modernization (retrofit) of existing plants
  • Maintenance, consulting, and support of existing customers, building long-term customer relationships
  • Analysis of customer requirements and development of customized solutions, if necessary with the support of the required specialist departments and/or the necessary suppliers/subcontractors
  • Configuration, calculation, creation, and follow-up of customer- and plant-specific offers for new plants and service products
  • Processing of tenders as well as creation of market observations and market analyses with corresponding reports
  • Preparation and execution of contract negotiations and contract reviews with the involvement of the required specialist departments
  • Review of incoming orders and transfer of orders to the relevant specialist departments
  • Compliance with environmental protection, health, and occupational safety regulations
  • Participation in trade fairs and conferences

Your qualifications:

  • Completed university degree or completed vocational training with relevant further education in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, Energy industry or comparable field
  • Several years of experience in sales of complex technical products and/or services, ideally in the field of combined heat and power (CHP)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication abilities, and customer focus
  • Persuasiveness and negotiation skills
  • Initiative and flexibility
  • Willingness to travel and a valid driver's license (Class B)
  • Good written and spoken English skills (at least level B1)
