As a Territory Business Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial execution for priority brands across your geography. You will translate brand strategy into critical local action, educate clinicians on compelling scientific evidence, and secure access points that accelerate appropriate adoption. Working closely with cross-functional colleagues, you will bring new science to market with pace, integrity, and a clear focus on patients.
Accountabilities:
Own the plan of action for your territory. Align it with brand priorities and customize it using local insights to meet and exceed sales targets.
Performance Management: Supervise territory performance, identify gaps early, and deploy corrective actions that drive measurable improvement in volume, share, and reach.
Access Expansion: Facilitate enlistment and formulary inclusion of key and newly launched products across hospitals and clinics to unlock sustained growth.
Customer Engagement and Education: Build long-term, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals through high-quality scientific discussions that influence appropriate prescribing.
Market and Competitor Insights: Analyze market dynamics and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and advise agile territory plans.
Launch Perfection: Orchestrate compliant promotional activities and local programs that develop awareness, trial, and ongoing usage of priority medicines.
Data Rigor and CRM Perfection: Maintain accurate customer classification, databases, and call records to enable targeted engagement and reliable forecasting.
Ethical Standards and Compliance: Demonstrate integrity and operate within the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct in every interaction and activity.
Continuous Improvement and Development: Proactively identify development needs and partner with your FLSM to build new capabilities that raise performance over time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, medical, and market access to align initiatives and ensure consistent, patient-centric execution.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Graduate degree or equivalent experience in Science/Pharma
Passion for Sales - Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent Communication Skills - Good Planning and Organisational Skills
Excellent Scientific knowledge - Ability to develop Strategic Partnerships Desirable Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales within Chandigarh/Punjab or similar markets
Experience launching new products and securing hospital and clinic enlistments - Established relationships with key HCPs in cardiology, diabetology, respiratory, or internal medicine - Proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven territory planning
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and market data for action - Fluency in English and Punjabi/Hindi
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Management or Marketing - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across the territory
