As the Territory Business Lead, you are a pivotal frontline executive in our Professional Oral Care Team. You are responsible for the overall performance of your territory, which you will achieve by leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of frontline professionals. You will hold full business accountability for your territory's results while personally managing and nurturing relationships with a core group of key dental professionals and stockists to build loyalty and advocacy for Colgate.
Coaching & Team Development
Lead, manage, and motivate a frontline team (on third-party payroll) to deliver on key execution KPIs, including dentist coverage, chemist availability, and in-clinic conversion.
Act as a coach and mentor by conducting regular "In-clinic Mentoring" sessions to enhance the team's skills, product knowledge, and sales effectiveness.
Take ownership of the team's performance, setting clear objectives, and ensuring the successful implementation of territory plans.
Strategic Relationship Management
Personally develop, manage, and strengthen deep relationships with a portfolio of key dental professionals, fostering loyalty and advocacy.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stockists and dental dealers to ensure product availability and optimize the supply chain.
Business Accountability & Operations
Hold full "Business Accountability" for the territory's sales revenue, professional recommendation metrics, and overall business growth.
Drive operational "Efficiency" by optimizing territory routes, managing resources, and ensuring the team's adherence to digital reporting standards (e.g., C4C-SAP Marketing Cloud).
Analyze company, channel, and category data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, translating insights into actionable business plans.
Oversee the team's demand generation activities for therapeutic products in pharmacies and dental channels.
Market & Brand Execution
Act as the primary resource for in-depth oral health knowledge, supporting your team and key accounts.
Ensure your team drives excellent execution of the professional marketing strategy and brand support plans.
Represent Colgate at key dental conventions and activities, coordinating team presence and engagement.
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports on territory status, team performance, and key business objectives to senior management.
Comply with all company policies and standards.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Health Science, Marketing, or Business Administration.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in Medical Detailing, Sales, or Territory Management. (Preference for Dental, Oral Care, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical sales).
Leadership: Demonstrable experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring sales teams (experience with third-party teams is a strong advantage).
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong business acumen with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships.
Language: Intermediate English level.
Proficiency in Office/Google tools.
2-3 years of experience as a Areas Sales Manager in a related industry.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., C4C-SAP Marketing Cloud).
Prior experience in managing stomatologicals/dental business.
