The Terrain Park Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe, high-quality terrain park by inspecting, shaping, and repairing park features, setting up signage and boundary ropes, and preparing the park for daily operations and overnight grooming. This role promotes a positive guest experience by encouraging safe terrain park etiquette, monitoring feature conditions, and assisting with incident reporting when needed. Ideal candidates are strong skiers or snowboarders who are comfortable working in challenging weather and mountain conditions, performing physically demanding outdoor work, and using hand tools to maintain freestyle terrain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Performs regularmaintenance of terrain park features,boundary ropes, and signageduring operating hoursusing snow rakes, shovels, anddrills
Prepares terrain parkto be opened each day by setting up signage andboundary ropes, clearing fresh snow, andshapingsnow aroundeachfeature
Prepares terrain park for grooming at the end of each dayby removing any obstacles to snowgrooming equipment, and reshaping/rebuilding feature takeoffs
Maintains a positive guest experience for terrain park users. Acts as an ambassador to the public by setting good examplesof terrain park etiquette on the mountain
Keeps track of andmaintainstools and equipment (rakes, shovels, drills,radiosetc.)
Inspects and tests features in the terrain park to ensureall features are free of damage, and todeterminewhen snow maintenance isrequired
Closesfeatures as needed when conditions or other circumstances do not allow them to be ridden safely
Helps in spottingreporting any injuries in the terrain park to ski patrol

Must havestrongskiing/riding skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This positionisrequiredto work evenings,weekendsand holidayswhile in operation
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of60pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis
Ability to safely ski or snowboard in adverse conditions and on steep terrain, including freestyle terrain
Manual dexterity tooperatehand toolssuch as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools
Ability to workoutsidein ANY ANDALL weatherconditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling,pushingand pulling on afrequent basis.
Talking and hearing occur continuouslyin the process of communicatingwith guests,supervisorsand other employees.
