Terminal Manager – Gibraltar (Marine Fuels)

Location: Gibraltar

World Fuel is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our Gibraltar Marine Terminal. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence while enabling the delivery of our commercial strategy.

You will oversee terminal operations, maintenance, and compliance, while developing a high-performing team and reinforcing a strong safety culture. The role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement within a dynamic, international energy business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the marine terminal, ensuring alignment with all regulatory and company standards
• Manage and develop a team of terminal operations professionals, including training, performance, and capability building
• Own and manage operational budgets (OPEX & CAPEX), ensuring cost control and effective allocation of resources
• Partner closely with Marine Commercial teams and key stakeholders to support and deliver business objectives
• Ensure terminal availability and operational readiness to meet commercial demand
• Act as the primary liaison with external authorities, including Port Authorities and regulatory bodies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and operational performance
• Oversee and implement the terminal maintenance strategy, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, environmental, and regulatory frameworks (including COMAH/major hazard standards where applicable)
• Maintain effective emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring readiness at all times
• Foster a proactive safety-first culture across all terminal activities

What You Bring

Essential Experience

• Proven leadership experience in oil terminal operations, fuel storage, or fuel distribution environments
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and their practical application
• Experience managing maintenance and inspection programs for fuel storage and delivery systems
• Demonstrated ability to build and embed a strong safety culture across operational teams
• Experience managing budgets and operational performance
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across commercial and operational functions

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background
• Professional certification in HSE, engineering, or fuel quality assurance
• Experience operating within major hazard industrial environments
