About this role

The Sr. Technical Value Stream Lead will help design and ensure adherence to the design of multiple global digital products being developed within Carrier Digital. This role will work on a range of hardware and software products critical to Carrier’s continued business growth. As a Sr. Technical Value Stream Lead, you will be the technical and functional leader of one or more scrum teams responsible for solving complex business and technology issues, from strategy to execution.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma with at least 4 years of college education
• 5+ years of experience in AWS architecture and development
• 10+ years of enterprise-grade software and/or product development experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with key software technologies such as: Linux/Embedded *nix, Networking, NodeJS/JavaScript, C/C++, Java, Golang, Python, CI/CD, etc.
• 10+ years of experience working with remote sensors and distributed systems.
• 10+ years of experience collaborating with UX design teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders
• 10+ years of experience leading and coordinating solution architects within the product team
• 10+ years of experience managing key vendor partners
• 10+ years of experience with hardware/embedded/middleware/software development life cycle, from customer needs to product release, is essential. Hands-on experience with development tools & dev-ops is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Experience with computer networking, and virtualization
• Experience with compiling for multiple architectures: amd64, aarch64, etc.
• Ability to conduct architecture reviews, cybersecurity reviews, code reviews, and provide technical feedback and guidance.
• Expertise and domain knowledge in developing, maintaining reusable software services, infrastructure for promoting reuse of services/ components/ libraries.
• Extensive background working on IoT (Internet of Things) projects.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience in driving process standardization and driving the process change across teams is essential.
• Passion for driving change and experience in change management is critical for success.
